Renovating an existing building is different from building from scratch: the services behind the walls, the structural system and the daily lives of the people who use the building all have to be considered together. We plan the architectural layout at the same table as the mechanical and electrical services, and carry out demolition, rebuilding and finishing works within a single work programme. In choosing materials, we consider ease of maintenance and long service life as much as appearance. The renovated building not only looks better but also runs without problems for years.

Our Transformation Process

On-site Survey and Needs Analysis
The existing building is surveyed on site; the structural system, building services and usage needs are assessed together.
Architectural Design and Material Selection
Layout, interior design and material decisions are finalised according to use and budget, and approved with samples.
Work Programme and Phasing
All works from demolition to handover are sequenced; in buildings that remain in use, the work is divided into phases.
Implementation and Services Renewal
Demolition, shell and finishing works are carried out in the same programme as the mechanical and electrical installations.
Inspection and Handover
Services are tested before being closed up, and completed areas are inspected and handed over ready for use.
